Making Change

We partner with like-minded commercial partners, communities, and individuals to contribute to the health and wellbeing of people in our community.

Our CEO Mark Fenty presented twice “live” at COP 26 championing innovative community-led renewable energy and conservation projects.

Communities throughout the world are already contributing to net zero carbon initiatives which address critical environmental and biodiversity issues and provide untold social and economical benefits.

Regional and National governments need to make critical policy changes and provide funding which would allow and empower communities to develop innovative small scale, modular, scaleable  renewable energy projects to tackle climate change.

We need to educate consumers “at risk” of fuel poverty that positive behavioural changes, retrofitting, and how their use of energy efficient appliances can all help to reduce bills.

Benefits to the community

  • Our model of community co-designed and co-managed innovative projects, fosters an active, healthier, more enpowered and economically resilient community
  • We will deliver “hands on” educational projects developing transferable skill sets around traditional and cutting edge renewable energy technologies. We hope to engage, enrich and inspire our visitors towards a career pathway in this fast emerging sector
  • We will develop the regions first small scale waste to energy to sustainable food growing project demonstrating a circular economy model which reduced landfil and creates energy for social benefit

Our Projects

Humberston Eco Conservation Centre is a 15 acre “off-grid” rural site which will use and showcase a mix of traditional and cutting edge renewable energy technologies.

Supporting education and projects that promote conservation and wildlife, visitors will better understand how science can support a healthy ecosystem for our plants, wildlife and the insects that live in it

Bee Keeping Project

Bee Keeping Hub

The place we live, work, and play affects our health and wellbeing. We are developing several conservation and wildlife projects with our volunteers and partner organisations which includes the investment of £20,000 on a new beekeeping apiary.  We will facilitate and create a natural landscape designed to attract a wealth of natural biodiversity within our 15-acre open space at HECC, so visitors can enjoy and be at one with nature.
With the help of local volunteers, are developing brand new schemes and projects to combat fuel poverty and help domestic residents make their home more energy efficient. Some of our projects are innovative and will help our most vulnerable residents save money, keep warm and help our environment.
